Everyday Solar is a guide to plug-in solar power for UK homes. The aim is to explain how plug-in solar works, what the UK rule change taking effect on 27 August 2026 actually allows, and to rank kits and accessories by real-world value for UK conditions - not by whichever brand pays the highest commission.
Plug-in solar is new to the UK, and most of the advice online is written for Germany, where balcony solar has been mainstream for years, or for the US, with a different grid and different rules. The guides here start from UK regulations, UK electricity prices, and UK weather, and they show the working: every savings figure comes with the assumptions behind it.
