Where we own a device and measure its output ourselves, that measured-output content is labelled as first-hand when it appears. Anything without that label is analysis built from published information, and we say so rather than implying hands-on experience we do not have.

Our research draws on manufacturer specifications and documentation; independent expert reviews; aggregated owner and user reviews plus community discussion; and peer-reviewed research and official data where relevant. Where sources conflict, we surface the conflict rather than picking the more flattering claim.

We do not publish star ratings unless the named author has demonstrable first-hand experience with the product - reviews without that basis are analysis, not scored verdicts.
